The Course
Run Moab from the BACKSIDE! The course begins at Red Cliffs Lodge in Castle Valley (16 miles east of Moab), runs along the La Sal Mountain Loop Road, and finishes up at the Old City Park in Moab.
Moab’s BACKSIDE will offer you one scenic run! The red rocks of Castle Valley will leave you breathless (or maybe that’s just from running!), and you’ll want to grab your camera for the views from the La Sal Loop Road. You’ll love coasting back down into Moab after the climb in the mountains. You’ll never see a BACKSIDE like this again!

Exchange Points
The wrist strap (baton) exchange occurs at designated exchange points along the course. The runner who is finishing his/her leg must pass on the slap wristband to the next team runner within the marked exchange zone and continue this relay-style to the finish line.
